Hello. I am having a problem opening a word attachment from an email. I
have Word 2000 9.0 and the attachment was crearted using Word 10.0
according to the properties tab. When I try to open it I get an error
saying "The document name or path is not valid" and then gives some
suggestions to locate the file such as checking file permissions on the
document or drive or use the File Open Dialouge Box. I tried copying
the file to another location as well as renaming it and nothing works.
I can open the file with WordPad but a lot of the text displays with
lines through it. I tried copying and pasting from WordPad but it only
copies the first paragraph and nothing more. The file does contain some
tables and different colums of data. I would appreciate any
