Word 2001/Mac: Can't access pull-down menus in Main Menu Bar

Suddenly I can't access most of the pull-down menus in Main
Menu Bar. I can only access pull-downs from
"File/Edit/View" the rest don't respond. I've restarted
my computer but nothing.

I'm running Mac OS 9.2 and Word for Mac 2001.
