Word 2002 Crashes when viewing stylesheets

On a whole series of documents I have, Word crashes at a
certain point when scrolling through the styles (in the
formatting pane or from the pulldown). It's happening in
nearly every document, so it doesn't seem to be a corrupt
document, but I'm not sure. Any ideas?

Hi David,

Are the documents based on the same template? Does it seem to crash at
the same point? For example just before a style that starts with the
letter "g",

Are the styles in the documents the same name/format?

If Word crashes at the same point then you might try going to the
Organizer found under Tools/Templates and Add-ins and start
eliminating the styles in an attempt to narrow down the problem.

Otherwise try creating a new document, go to Insert/File, insert the
contents of a document exhibiting the behavior, and see if the error
still occurs.
