WORD 2002 error message

A persistent error message now appears every time I
attempt to use Word. I had been getting such messages off
and on for some time.

The Message is Runtime error! ProgramC:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Office 10\WIN\WORD.EXE
abnormal program termination.

Can anyone tell what this is and how to fix it?

Re-run setup for Microsoft Office XP or Word 2002, do a repair of Office XP,
install the latest Service Pack and Patches for Office XP.
