word 2002 install

I'm trying to install word 2002 from "works suite 2002". I
keep getting an error from the windows install wizard
telling me "the wizard was interupted and did not finish
the install." It also says that I may not have enough
memory (not true, I have 12 gigs!)or a virus program is
running. I have uninstalled my virus program, and still
receive the same message. Any ideas? This program loaded
just fine on my other PC. I'm at a loss!

again, not expert, but i experienced some of this.
-go to start, run, type in msconfig
-when it comes up you'll be on general tab
-see 'selective start up' there is a check next to load
startup group items
!!before you uncheck this, click on startup tab
make a list of what is checked
-after you make list, go back to general tab, uncheck
selective start up
-i believe you'll need to reboot, then try to reinstall
this stops windows from starting all those behind the
scenes programs
-if this works and you're able to install, then go back to
the top and now you want to recheck 'selective start up'
-get your list, go to startup tab, and recheck the items
-again i believe you'll need to restart your computer
just went through this to install new printer software,
too many things running and not enough memory/resources
available for it to be able to install
hope that works for you
