Word 2002 pagination error

A Word 2002 document with page number and total number of
pages as part of a formatted header. My printer does not
support printing of both sides of paper. When I attempt
to print all "even" pages and then all "odd" pages so that
I can switch the paper, the document prints pages
incorrectly: i.e. 1 of 1, 2 of 2, etc. even though there
may be a total of 8 pages. Obviously, if I printed the
whole document at once, it would print 1 of 8, 2 of 8,
etc. Perhaps Microsoft could look into this as I have had
no problems in previous Word programs.

This was fixed in WordXP but some recent patch has broken it again. Probably
turning off the background printing option will resolve the issue but see
