Word 2002 SP-1

When I open Word and try to perform an operation like
Copy or Print, I see a [Word icon] flashing on the bottom
taskbar -- and Word itself freezes and you can not do
anything. After several minutes an error box appears
asking you if you want to report this to Microsoft. I
have sent out the message, but as of yet have not heard
from them.

Originally Office XP came loaded on my new Presario 2500
laptop. I have just recently updated to SP-1, and the
problem still continues. Any suggstions on what's wrong
and how to resolve this? Thanks.

Are you using or have ever had installed Norton Anti Virus? Open NAV and
disable the office plug-in option.
