Word 2002 to 2003 compatibility

When opening a Word 2002 document that has section breaks on each page in
Word 2003, I get an extended margin (beyond 8.5") on the right of the page.
Word 2003 initially displays the document correctly, then after a few seconds
reformats the page. I am using section breaks to jump back and forth between
single and two column format, as well as have a distinct first page layout.

Do you have Track Changes enabled? If you do, you get this extra margin to
display the "balloons."
