Word 2002 - Word Status Bar

I have one user whose Word Status Bar isn't displaying the
page numbers. He states that he has to click several
times to get it register.

Any ideas.

If you're in Normal view with background repagination disabled, page numbers
will not be displayed. And if you scroll several pages down, so that the
insertion point is not on the page you're viewing, the status bar may show
nothing at all. And of course there is no status bar in Web Layout view.
