Ah...okay, you didn't mentioned the HELP issue.
Have you tried clicking Help and selecting Detect and Repair to try to
reestablish the program? If not, try it.
By the way...are you saying you DID tune down the hardware accelerator
as explained in the MAINTAINING article? Cos' if the screen freezes
when you are calling the extra help display into play...it seems that
it would be your video driver at issue. If you didn't try that...do.
