word 2002

I'm using Office XP on a computer with plenty of RAM and
a good processor. every time i use word, the computer
locks up after about 5 minutes. i've tried going into
regedit and deleting the data file, but it continues to
happen. i was going to reinstall word, but i get the
message that the product key is not valid. i also tried
going through the microsoft online, but i get the message
that the product ID has been used to many times. i don't
know what to do...anyone know???? please help!!!!

Use the telephone option on the activation screen to explain the issue.

BTW reinstalling Word rarely fixes problems as it doesn't touch problematic
registry keys, templates etc.
