Word 2003 and OCR

I have a Lexmark All-in-One X6170 which camne bundled with ABBYY 5.0 Sprint Plus OCR

When I tried to scan and save in Word recently I got the following error message

" Windows cannot find C:\Progra~1\Micos~2\office10\windword.exe

and I could not proceed

How can I fix that? It worked before I upgraded to Office 2003 Small Biz...

more exact details.

The error message I get in the situation described above is in fact:

"Windows cannot find 'C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\Office10\WINWORD.EXE.'
Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, select teh Start button, and then click Search"

Any ideas how to fix it? I could not find specific refs to this in the kb...

This would likely be because the path for Word has changed after the install
and the ABBYY software thinks it's still in the old location. Reinstalling
or reconfiguring that software may help.

You could also try the OCR s/w that comes with Office - the Microsoft Office
Document Scanning/Imaging utility.

I could not reinstall ABBYY Fine Reader Sprint as it is not available anymore for download. On a hunch, I changed the path given previously to ...\office11\... instead of ...\Office10\... and it worked

Thinking of future issues with the unsupported OCR, could you direct me on how to set Microsoft Office Document Scanning/Imaging utility as the default OCR between my scanner (Lexmark) and the Office apps
