Word 2003 Article / Section list style

S

Stephen

The built-in list style "Article / Section" inserts the words "Article" and
"Section" as part of the formatting. Unfortunately the help for Word 2003
gives no indication of how to create a similar style using other words. I
wish to create a similar style substituting the words "Chapter" and
"Section". Can anyone help ?

Thank you.

PS Updating versions of Word is NOT an acceptable alternative.

To add to what Stefan has said (and I do highly recommend Shauna's article),
the easiest way to do this is to select the Article / Section list, click
Customize, change Article to Chapter, and make whatever other changes you
want. If you want the list levels linked to the built-in heading series,
then this list has already done that for you. Be sure to do it through the
Heading 1 style, however, as Shauna's article specifies.

But note that modifying the outline-numbered list doesn't modify the list
style, which may or may not be relevant in this case.
