Word 2003 automatic closeout

Once I have saved and closed a document and minimize Word,
when I try to maximize again, Word closes out. Do I have
an improper setting somewhere?

I am having the same problem since I got Office 2003. I
will have sometimes 3 documents open and will be
switching between them using the taskbar, and Word will
close out. I end up losing information, which is a real
problem. I run Windows XP Pro and Symantec Antivirus
Corporate. HELP!

Uninstall Handwriting Recognition in Control Panel, Region Settings,
Languages, Advanced tab.
