Word 2003 changes the colour of a Jpeg image please help urgent.

Brilliantly, when I open a mail merge document with a large jpeg as the
background in Word 2003 it decides to display red parts of the image as blue.

It also prints like this. However, if I open in Word 2000 than it displays
correctly as red. In Word 2003 it wont let me edit the picture either. I
tried changing the picture editor in the options between MS Photo Editor and
MS Word, it makes no difference.

Please help, I cant find anything about this on the internet.

Ok, so there doesnt seem to be any information on WHY this would happen.

As a workaround I resaved the Jpeg as a TIFF file, this seems to work so far.
