Word 2003 Closes when Maximizing Window

Even if I just have Outlook runing and no document open
in Word (just running in the background), when I click
Word to maximize the window it shuts down with no error
messeges.

HELP!!

Have you updated Word using the Office Update site? Are you using Windows
XP. This may be the Windows XP bug caused by Handwriting Recognition. You
can uninstall Handwriting Recognition by going to the Control Panel,
Regional and Languages, select Languages tab, Advanced button and uninstall
the option. If that resolves the problem and you use Handwriting
Recognition, just reverse the procedure and the bug will not return.
