When we start up Word 2003 you can type for the equivalency of about 2 lines before it crashes with an unknown error. Anyone else experiencing anything like this?

Follow the troubleshooting tips in
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProbsOpeningWord.htm. Also check that
speech recognition is turned off and also the spelling and grammar whist you
type options by turning them off.
