Word 2003, crashes when trying to "look up" or "researc" a word

Every time I try to right click and "look up," alt +click, or pick a word and
go to tools>research, word 2003 crashes. I've attempted to delete registry
information and normal.dot, and I've upgraded to SP3, but the problem
persists.
