Word 2003 "File" toolbar option does nothing

Jeff Howell

Recently the File toolbar option does not drop down a menu when you click it. All other toolbars options, ie Edit, View, Tools, etc., all drop down fine. I thought it may be related to add-ins from a Dymo Labelwriter printer, but after speaking with their tech support, they say their software is removed. When the Dymo software was loaded, it was giving a run-time error '9', subscript out of range error. When I removed the Dymo Add-ins, that went away, but the File menu doesn't work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2003, loaded all updates etc, and still the same result. Help

Thanks

Jeff

If you don't have customizations to your menus/toolbars that you want to
keep...
Tools => Customize => Toolbars (tab)
Click the Reset Toolbars button.

If that doesn't work or if you have customizations you want to keep, see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/MissngMenusEtc.htm.

Jeff-Same exact problem as me, except ALL toolbar options except for FONTS won't scroll down. Did you find a solution? Please let me know!
P. Kemp ([email protected]). By the way, are you on Mac? Seems like I'm not the only one experiencing this...
