Word 2003 Footer - Bleed to bottom & edges?

Hello,

I've not been able to find any info on this in the forums.

Is there any way to have a footer "bleed" to the edges
and bottom? I'm trying to match my hard copy letterhead
(which has a graphic element that bleeds) for documents I
email to clients.

I can get it to work in Publisher but Publisher won't let
me save the document as an RTF, which I assumed I could
then open in Word as a template.

You can do it if you set the footer margin to 0", but there's no guarantee
it will print. If it's a graphic (floating), you can put it anywhere on the
page (anchored to the footer paragraph).
