Word 2003 freezes when inserting object cannot insert any object

When I insert an object into a word document (2003) it freezes. I then must
go into Task manger to kill the process. I have tried under different local
profiles same issue. I have uninstalled and re installed office with no luck.
I also deleted the key in the registry under current user and renamed the
Normal.dot file. Still no luck. Any ideas?

Check out your video driver. Read the fourth FAQ in this article, it is for
Publisher but it is the same for Word.
