Word 2003 freezes when trying to paste from internet

On several occasisons, Word 2003 freezes when I'm pasting a passage or a
picture that I may have found on the internet. What can I do to remedy the
situation

Since it doesn't happen every time, it would be difficult to diagnose the
problem.

(I would suggest that you stop copying someone's copyrighted material but no
one ever wants to hear that.)

Hi Kwarmack,

When you select something from the Internet and paste into Word the default action is for Word to reaccess the websource and create
a link to the content. If you're using a firewall you may want to check to see if Word is simply waiting to be given access. As an
alternate you may want to try using Edit=>Paste Special and choose an option other than the default of HTML and see if that gets
past the delay. (Some websites are trying to track and they may be waiting as well).
