Word 2003 (from Basic Edition)

I have a client who bought 4 computers with office 2003
Basic OEM. Now when accessing some word documents from
an Windows NT4 server in a peer to peer office, out of
memory errors occur. Some documents I moved from their
old computer to their new one also have that problem or
other various issues. Not all documents have this issue.
This only occurs with a few files. All of the have all
been created in Office XP or older. These documnents
still pull up fine on the older word versions as well. I
ran both office and windows updates for the latest
patches. Please help.

There is no possibility of virus or worm as the problem
existed before the computer was on the internet and the
patches were downloaded. Any other thoughts?
