Word 2003 hang & CPU up 100%

Hi,

I have a Word 2003 document which hang as soon as I open it and the CPU shot
up to 100%. I have tried opening it with repair option, in safe mode or save
it as a different file name in other location but all these solutions failed
to work.

Please advise if there is any other solution to fix it. Thanks!

Try saving the document as a .RTF file, close down Word.
Then re-open the .RTF file with Word.

Hopefully Word then requires less than 100%
Then you can save the document as a .DOC file as usual.
