Word 2003 hangs in XP when doing SaveAs

Hi,

Can anyone help me figure out the issue - we have seen it twice in our
facility, and have redone our image, but cannot figure out what is happening
- Word 2003 hangs in XP when doing SaveAs - we can recreate the problem as
often as we like on the machimes in question....

Right-click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop or in the
Windows Start menu, left-click on Disconnect Network Drive, and
disconnect any mapped drives that are not currently available.

Hi,

Still stumped - there were no mapping to remove. Now the user is not using
SaveAs anymore, but the PC still hangs when she send a file to print.....any
other ideas??

Network printer or local printer? If it's a network printer, make sure
the printer driver is installed locally, even though the printer isn't.

It is a networked printer set-up using the IP, the printer actually is on a
jetdirect box. The jetdirect is getting errors periodically from her PC, my
guess is that happens when the computer hangs. The driver would be locally
installed as we asways select loacl and them create a new Standard IP
port.....

I suggest deleting the printer from her PC and reinstalling it. Make sure
that you have the latest printer driver for her OS first though.
