Word 2003 Hyperlinks do't Work After Installing Office SP3

After installing Office SP3, all e-mail messages containinghyperlinks do not
work. Selecting an e-mail message hyperlink will cause IE7 to display my
default home page.

Is this a security feature?

I would have thought that this would have been one of the fist things tested
before issuing this SP.
