word 2003 installation to windows vista problem

I'm trying to install a full retail version of MS Office Student and Teacher
Edition into a replacement laptop with Windows Vista. Installation proceeds
to the point of saying "current action: waiting for cabinets to be cached to
local installation source." The installation stalls at that point and then
gives the message "Installation error: file not found. A required
installation file LV561409.CAB could not be found. Original Installation
Source Required: If you installed ..from a CD, please insert your CD...once
you have located your installation source, click OK." I'm given a button
option to browse, but it's not successful. Even though the original CD is in
the drive, I can't complete the installation. I've removed the Word 2007
that was preinstalled on the new laptop.

Suggestions?

Vincent,
I know this is a long shot but were you able to fix this? I am having the
exact same problem. Any help would be most appreciated!
Thanks,
Susan
