word 2003 keeps hanging

My word 2003 keeps hanging abruptly after a short while. I have about
enough time to type a few things, save it, before it crashes.

Is there a way of debugging this? I have no error messages that pop up
and am also unable to deduce what it is I am doing to trigger this.

Already tried uninstall and reinstall. Still no joy.

Any clues?

Sounds like a known problem which I and quite a few people have
encountered. Refer to the thread posted on 12/19:

"Word 2003 should not "crash" in the case of losing connection to printer"

If this problem applies to your case,( put the solution briefly), create
a printer driver locally, even if it is only a fake one.
