Word 2003 locks up when you try to cut and paste from other source

Hi,
I installed Office 2003 Professional on one of my computers. When I try to
cut and paste in Word (or any of the other applications like Publisher) they
lock up. I end up having to close them out and because they never recover.
What's going on?

When pasting, try using Edit | Paste Special | Paste as:
Unformatted text | OK.
