Word 2003 multiple crashes

We have recently began deploying Office 2003 on our network. so far we have
only distributed it to new machines, and have not started to upgrade our
existing 2000 installations yet. all the other office applications are
running without problems, however word is being to become the bane of my
life.

Several of our machines are experiencing the same problem. they all have
office 2k3 SP1 installed and are fully patched up, Yet word crashes
constantly we have tried re-installing and all the normal OS checking yet it
continues to crash. The event logs show several errors all very similar.

address 0x00000000.

I am seeing 3 versions of this error, the only difference is the faulting
modal, it is always one of 3 things, unknown, winword.exe or mso.dll. also
the hex numbers are different every time.
This is not happening on every machine, but it is happening enough to worry
me. also our machines are all different hardware, so I don't believe this is
a factor, especially considering where we have 2 identical machines, one
will be fine where as the other may be crashing as much as every minet or
two.
are there any patches due? is this a common problem? help!!!!!

Check that the graphics and printer drivers are the latest up to date
