Word 2003: "Not enough memory"

Y

Yousaf Khan

I hope somebody here can help me. I have just newly installed office 2003
for the first time over office xp on my Windows xp pro machine. The
installation went just fine. Now the problem is that when ever I try to run
word I get a "There is not enough memory or disk space to run Word" error.

Now I have 1 gig of ram where as 650mb is free, the drive with the swap file
has 100gigs free space, installation drive has atleast 20gigs free and the
windows drive has atleast 2 gigs free.

I've tried restarting the computer and doing a clean install of office 2003.
Excel and Publisher also refuses to start and just crashes. The other office
programs work just fine.

I have all the latest patches anf fixes installed for both windows xp and
office 2003.

Thanks for any help.
