Word 2003: Page edge forces column breaks?

In Word 2003, I have 2 columns. I'd like to keep a long bulleted section going in the same column across the automatic page breaks (there is not a manual page break), but none of the options under Format/Paragraphs/Line and Page Breaks seem to achieve that. The text always restarts in column 1 when it hits the next page

Have I not found the right option (which I strongly suspect)?

Use a two-column table instead.
