Word 2003 pics reversed-can't rotate

I upgraded a computer to Office 2003
Opened some old docs created in Word 97 and the image in the doc is upside
down and the rotate tool is greyed out.

We have many such docs and all seem to be affected by this problem.

This is a known issue with Office XP and 2003. A small registry change
should fix it. See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=312838 "Pictures
