Word 2003 Ruler Problem

Hi,
I just installed Office XP 2003 over Office 2000 and now
my ruler won't show inches. No mater what I select as my
unit of measurement it will not change. Has anybody had
problems with this? This is the case with my desktop but
my laptop loaded correctly. I have tried deleting 2000 and
installing 2003 clean with no luck; I have reinstalled XP
and all updates with no luck. It's stuck, HELP.

Office 2003 Resource Kit Tools has a posibility to make
an install with no migration in "Custom installation
Wizard"
