Hi everyone,
My wife's boss has been receiving this message every time he opens or closed
Word 2003 "The macros in this project are disabeled. Please refer to the
online help or documentation of the host application to determine how to
enable macros." I have uninstalled, reinstalled, and cleaned the registry,
but supressing the message has eluded me. I ahve enabled macros, and tested
various security levels to no avail.

I'll buy a beer for the man or woman that can solve this one!

Thanks for your efforts.

If you've tried setting Macro Security to Medium and enabled the
macros when prompted then is he actually utilizing the macros that are
attempting to run when Word starts?

If not then just remove the add-in causing the prompt to appear. Go to
Tools/Templates and Add-Ins and see if there are any global templates
or add-ins listed. If so they are located in one of your Startup
folders. The location of the Word\Startup folder can be found under
Tools/Options/File Locations and the Office\Startup folder can be
found in the Office installation path.. (You can also use Windows
Search and search for the file name)

Take a look in each folder and if you find more than one file move
them one at a time and try duplicating the error after each file is
moved out of the folder until you determine which one is causing the
problem.

The macro that was causing the problem was in the office startup folder, and
I was able to move it to test for the problem, and that was the solution.

Thank you so much!

I owe ya! I will send you a few good beers from the Bend Oregon Brewery as
promised!

You can e-mail me an address and I will send it, if you like. This has been
a reoccurring pain! wosully at hotmail.com
