Word 2003 template problem

We have a mix of Office XP and Office 2003 on our teminals. Since updating
Office 2003 to SP3 any document templates generated in Word 2003 cause our
Office XP (word 2002) to crash.
All terminals are using XP Pro.

Any ideas.
