Word 2003 WinxpSP2 documents open slowly ?

Im having trouble opening documents ... they open after about 3 mins.
I have installed winxp SP2 and this is when it started.

once the document opens, if i go to Tools > Templates & Addins
it has a template path that dosen't exist in my network and if i delet
it so that the normal.dot takes over the document will open fine.

I believe the problem is a timout issue with templates that dont exis
... anyone else had this problem ?

Yes, references to nonexistent or disconnected resources have always
resulted in timeouts. The correct fix is to remove or correct said
resource references.
