word 2003

um dana

when i am trying to open any word document done in the
earlier version such as word 2000 in word 2003, the
format of docu differs and i cant edit in the docu
because its protected. but it wasnt a protected document
in the earlier version.
can someone help me in this matter?

Have you run the Office Update in W2003 (under the Help menu)? How did you
copy your documents from the W2000 PC to the W2003 PC?
