word 2003

i run win 2000 (by choice) and installed office 2003. everything works fine
but word...it constantly closes, giving error, then 'recovers' my document
and opens again.......ive installed all service packs, etc, but cannot figure
out the problem. HELP!

try deleting the normal.dot template and then try, also try loading a generic
printer driver, word is very fussy when it comes to printer drivers, if you
have an HP printer that could be your problem

actually i did have an hp printer, but it died. i got a dell printer free,
its new, and the same thing is happening. i uninstalled the hp and installed
the dell and still have the same problem. let me try deleting the template
and i will let u know. thanks.

nope, didnt work. i deleted the normal.dot template but im still getting the
same thing. now what? its so frustrating.
