I have this strange problem with my Word 2003. Upon opening it gets stuck
on the splash screen. If I open in safe mode it pops open. Regular opening
it gets stuck on splash screen and turns to hour glass. Must end process to
get rid of. Now if I delete the normal.dot Word will open right up the
first time. However the next time it will go back to the old behavior and
get stuck. Delete normal.dot and it will open...then get stuck the next
time. Any ideas??

Possibly something in an add-in is causing damage in normal.dot.
Follow the procedures in

it down and eliminate it.
