I have a user asking me if she can make her own highlight colors in Word
2003. I don't think you can but wanted to ask the experts. Is there a way?
The palette for highlighting is very very sparse.

Hi Pat,

The 'highlighter' colors are presets. One method to have access to Word's full 16 million color choices for 'highlighting'
(although not all will be transparent enough to read in many cases) by going to
Tools=>Customize=>Commands and selecting the 'All Commands' category
then dragging the 'Shading colors' command to the toolbar (perhaps next to the highlighter tool).
