Word 2003 problem.
Whenever opening a document that is formatted / controlled
by a template that was created in word 97, word displays a
login window(similar to passport login window)click cancel
closes the login wait 30 seconds and the document opens.
If I open a document that is not created via template is
opens without any problems even if it was created in word
97. Any suggestions?

Hi Julian,

What is the exact message/text you see in the login window?

If you hold Shift while opening the document does the window still
appear?

Beth,
I haven't tried holding the shift key yet.
Here is a description of the login window.
Title bar = Connect to PRC
Icon picture of 2 keys gold and silver.
Connecting to PRC
Username:
Password:
Remember my password.

I have a screen dump of the error, is there a way send
this to you?

I believe you've provided enough of a description - I don't need to
see a screen shot. :)

It sounds like the template is attempting to connect to a database.

What kind of document is this? Is it a main document for a mail merge?
Does it contain any database fields?

Beth,
Holding the shift key down allows the document to open
without the login box. Why?
The document is based on a template for formatting reasons.
Nothing special.
