Word 2004 on Mac Pro has been a bit iffy today

Hello

Word 2004 on Mac Pro has been a bit iffy today and I wondered if it may
somehow be related to recent security patches.

This is probably the first time I've used Word 2004 since installing the
patches. Symptoms:

- a long time to start Word

- very sluggish performance compared to usual.

Thanks Bob (I am quite new to Macs and your help is deeply appreciated).

Word 2004 tells me that there is a corrupt font (Myriad Pro) Font book
tells me that the font is ok,

Unfortunately that's one of Word's little nuances for which ther is no
sure-fire resoluton. Have a look at the page linked below for some options
to try. They may resolve it - at least for a while.
