Add-In: Read in Microsoft Reader 1.1.3 does not work together with Word 2007
Beta 2.
"Unable to build the eBook (error 66: Unexpected CSS prperty value
"sans-serif". This content would fail on hte original Pocket PC version of
the Reader, and must not appear in files compatible with that version.)."

You may want to monitor the MS Reader discussion group through the link below. There has been mention there of an update to the
Read in Microsoft Reader add-in, but it hasn't appeared on the MS website. As MS has started to follow many of the open standards
for other formats, and as even their own products use an open source format for interim file creation, if I recall correctly it's
possible that MS is considering moving in that direction with an updat.

The 'Convert to Microsoft Reader' button on the Word 2007 add-ins tab will not work if the 'right' (expected) version of MS Reader
isn't found to be installed, for example.

The Add-In creates XML files using the OBE format as an interim step. It has a limited vocabulary of style formatting (CSS) and
appears to be packaged in a single .DLL file (i.e. not accessible for user changing).
The CSS error is from a formatting change within MS Word 2007 documents.
That one you can often bypass by unchecking the 'Convert to Microsoft Reader Formatting' choice in RMR (Read in Microsoft Reader)
'Formatting Options'. Changing that option affects some ebook platforms and versions, but generally not the version 2.1 MS Reader
desktop reader. Some of the 'errors' are a bit tougher to work around with RMR until it understands the new, internal, MS Word
file standards. Sometimes it requires a conversion to an older Word document format from within Word 2007 or pasting into an empty
Word document from Windows Wordpad.

You may want to consider using one of the 3rd party products as an alternative such as the free, standard 2.0 version of
Readerworks,
http://overdrive.com/readerworks/software/standard.asp
or looking into some of the the other E-book formats that are available alternatives to .LIT, or take advantage of the Word 2007
save to .PDF format for greater transportability.

=============
Was there ever a fix for this situation? i am currently trying to convert
some documents so that i can send them in the lit format for easier reading.
i am currently getting the same code. thank you in advance. >>
