Word 2007 (Beta 2) Layering

When drawing objects (lines, rectangles etc.) into a drawing canvas, these
objects cannot be re-arranged (e.g. bring to front, send to back) - these
buttons are disabled in the ribbon. On the right click context menu, these
buttons are also disabled.

However, these operations work fine if the objects being drawn are not in a
canvas. Am I missing something, or is this a bug?

Just a quick update.

I figured out a workaround: by changing the text wrapping of the canvas from
"In line" to "Square", I could change layer orders as normal.
