Word 2007 Buggy then crashes

I read the post from january with the same subject line, but the resolution
does not seem clear to me. Can you put those in simple steps? I would like to
share this with others who have encountered the same porblem. It is a popular
problem it seems.

Problem:
Scroll and Select does not function in MS word 2007, crash on close.

Previously attempted solutions: Unistall-reinstall of Office Enterprise
2007, printer installations uninstalled, problem persists.

....and by the way, here is the text directions from that previous post that I
don't know how to follow:

"Read a few similar threads and you will find that this is because of a
corrupt Word DataKey. You need to run Regedit and delete the key."

So, how do I run Regedit and delete the key?
