Word was working fine until recently. I saw a message saying that
"normal.dot" had changed and did I wish to save the changes...I replied
"No". That was when the trouble began. I can open Word and can even type
but then everything locks up and the cursor cannot access any of the tools
(or anything in Word and cannot change positions), then a message comes up
that Word has stopped working and will restart. The same thing keeps
happening.
I have searched for the "normal.dot" file so I could rename it to
"normalOLD.dot" and have Word replace it, however, I cannot find the file.
The only file found is "normal.dotm". I tried changing that to
"normalOLD.dot" but it keeps replacing with a "normal.dotm" file.
Any suggestions?
