Word 2007 freezes when applying a picture style within a text box

Hello,
When we apply a picture style from the ribbon to a 'normal' picture or
clipart this works fine.
When we first create a text box and then insert a picture in this text
box, applying a picture style to this picture results in Word freezing
and crashing. Apparently this only happens on a pc with Vista, not
with XP.
(Word 2007 SP2)
Of course there are other ways to position a picture than inserting it
in a text box. I was just wondering if anyone experiences the same
problem and/or has found a solution?

I've been having this problem for months ever since installing an
update from microsoft. I backed out the update and it went away but
since then I restored my operating system and in the process ran many
many updates so I don't know which update caused the problem so I have
it back again. It's doing just what you describe. It freezes when you
use the picture tools from the ribbon with a picture that is in a text
box on a pc using Vista. I have talked to Microsoft about the problem
but I never followed through on the solution. They were helping me
solve it. When they took over my machine remotely the problem would go
away so they tried changing all of the permissions on my machine
thinking that I didn't have the permissions that they had but it
didn't work and I never called them back to follow up because I didn't
have the time.

The problem is driving me crazy because I use the option a lot. I
would really appreciate help on this one.
