Word 2007 needs to set up at each boot

Hi,

I downloaded Office 2007 last week (so I guess I have the most up-to-date
version). Everything works well except Word 07. Whenever I launch it, I see a
screen saying that Word is setting up and I have to wait around 1-2 min for
the setup process to be done - then word launches properly.

Any idea as to what caused that? In the begining I had this screen, whenever
my outlook crash twice in a row and i had to do a "detect and repair" on
outlook. Then I had to go through the setup screen setup for Word.

But now, even as Outlook running fine, i still have to deal with that setup
screen for word.

Any suggestion is welcome.

Hi K.B,

Are you running more than one version of Word on the computer?
Have you run the diagnostics from the Resources pane in Word Options
(Alt,T+O) or under File[office button]=>Word Options=>Resources ?

Hi Bob,

Actually Word 2007 is the only version of word installed on my PC, so that
should not be the issue. Moreover, I ran the diagnostic tool as you
recommended and it did not show any red flag.

Any other idea of what may cause this constant need for word to go through
set up?

Are you logged on as an administrator? It sounds like you're unable to
save the setup information due to logging on as a limited user.

I get the same error when i'm logged as a starndrt user in windows xp home
edition.
