Word 2007 not responding to "save as"

Recently the "save as" function within word has stopped responding. I
does not give me the option to change location of saved document or th
name.
I have tried to uninstall the programme, but partially through i
reports an error with drive D, even though drive D is not in use
identified. Any suggestions
